Dr. Siek Hwee Ling

謝慧齡副教授
Associate Professor Dr. Siek Hwee Ling currently serves as the Deputy Director and Head of Research at the De Institute of Creative Arts and Design, UCSI University, Malaysia. UCSI University has ranked among the world’s top 1% of universities for four consecutive years and is placed 269th in the QS World University Rankings 2026.
Dr. Siek is an experienced design educator, researcher, and visual artist with over 25 years of academic and industry expertise. Her research focuses on sustainable design, cultural creativity, and educational innovation, with a strong commitment to integrating traditional culture with modern technology. She has supervised numerous Master’s and PhD candidates and published her research in numerous international journals.
Her academic and creative contributions have earned her both national and international recognition, including prestigious design awards and innovation medals. She has secured Malaysia's national research grants, as well as international funding from Canada and Jilin Province, China.
Passionate about nurturing future generations of designers, Dr. Siek actively promotes design as a transformative tool for community engagement, education, and cross-cultural dialogue.
謝慧齡副教授現任馬來西亞思特雅大學創意藝術與設計學院副院長兼研究主管。思特雅大學已連續四年躋身全球前1%大學之列，並在2026年QS世界大學排名中位居第269名。
謝副教授是一位資深的設計教育家、研究員及視覺設計師，擁有逾25年的教學與業界經驗。她的研究專注於永續設計、文化創意與教育創新，致力於融合傳統文化與現代科技。她曾指導多位碩博士研究生，並於多本國際學術期刊發表研究成果。
她的學術與創作表現屢獲國內外肯定，包括設計大獎與創新獎章，她成功獲得了多項國家研究經費，包括馬來西亞、加拿大及中國吉林省的國際資助。
謝副教授熱衷於培育新一代設計人才，並積極推動設計作為連結社區、教育與跨文化對話的重要橋樑。
